Minutes of the Fourth Degree Meeting

Nevada State Convention

May 1, 2026

The purpose of the meeting is to choose candidates for the new District Master to be sent to the Supreme Master for the term beginning September 1, 2026. 

The meeting was called to order by District Master Joe Haun at 5:10 PM at the hall of St. Joseph Husband of Mary parish. 

The following Dignitaries were in Attendance:

·         Supreme Council Board Member:  SK Tony Pascua

·         Vice Supreme Master:  SK Roark Galloway

·         Former SD and VSM: SK David Ryan

·         Northern District Master: SK Dan Dexter

·         State Deputy: SK David Clarke

·         Past District Master. SK Rick Sherman

·         Past District Master:  SK Ken Sawyer

Assistant to Master John Jemison conducted roll call of eligible voting delegates by Assembly:

Four Candidates were nominated for the position of District Master for the Term beginning September 1, 2026

The following candidates were formally nominated:

·         Dennis Murtaugh

·         Roger Watson

·         John Jemison

·         Joe Haun 

SK Tony Pascua requested a short presentation from each candidate about why they want to be District Master and each candidate spoke to the group to present reasons why they are seeking the position. 

Ballots were handed out to each voting delegate to vote for Three names each to move forward.   Votes were cast by secret Ballot and the election was conducted. 

PDM SK Rick Sherman and PDM SK Ken Sawyer were selected to collect and Talley the votes. 

The votes were tallied and the following candidates were selected to move forward for the Position of. Southern District Master: 

·         Dennis Murtaugh

·         Roger Watson

·         John Jemison

Upon completion of the votes Dignitaries were invited to offer remarks to the participants.

·         SD Dave Clarke made comments regarding voting NO on the upcoming election on Question 6

·         VSM Roark Galloway offered general comments of inspiration to the group

 District Master Joe Haun offered closing comments and adjourned the meeting at 6:30 PM
